Wendy Megget, a fellow blogger from New Zealand, kindly awarded me with the Sunshine Blogger Award. Wendy is one of my current favourite bloggers in the WordPress community so it meant a lot to be nominated by her. I like her fun and truthful style of writing. She talks about life and its challenges with a good dose of humour. I’m thankful to her fun spirit, because I have the tendency, more often than not, to overthink and take life sometimes too seriously. If you visit Wendy’s blog, I think you will understand why I like her blog and style.
Since I already hosted the Sunshine Blogger Award, and not that long time ago, I thought it was a good idea to thank Wendy for her kind nomination and answer to her questions, but skip the nominations for now, because I would end up nominating the same people. I also really enjoyed her questions and I think it is an interesting way to let you know a bit more about me – at least, beyond my more ‘traditional’ posts around here. If you feel like letting me know a little bit more about yourself too, I would love to read your own answers to Wendy’s questions on the comments’ section.
Who is your loudest cheerleader?
I wish I had one but I believe that due to my personality and nature people tend to think I don’t need cheerleaders so they don’t get to play that role for me. Or maybe I’m just not good at asking and receiving help. My readers are my biggest cheerleaders though.
What was your first pet?
It was a black and white husky dog. We named him “Trovão” (the Portuguese word for Thunder).
Where is the most breath-taking place you have ever been?
Believe it or not, it’s the Nature Park of Arrábida in Setúbal, Portugal. I was a very young child back then when I visited it and that’s also when I had my first mindfulness experience.
If you were going to be stuck on a deserted island with one book to read for years on end, what book would you take?
Probably the Bhagavad Gita or the Yoga Sutras of Patanjali.
What is your favourite appliance or tool?
Right now it’s a mobile app called “Insight Timer”.
What is your favourite dessert?
I will pick an easy one, caramel pudding.
What was the most embarrassing moment of your life?
Honestly it was so embarrassing that I’m not going to share it yet, haha!
What is the closest you’ve come to being famous?
I gave three interviews on television and had a four-page piece about me on a gossip magazine.
What is the strangest thing you’ve done?
Maybe it was… the time back then when I used to eat Ketchup Cheetos with Snickers chocolate bar.
What is your most precious possession?
My books. All of them.
What is your favourite emoticon and why?
The red-heart one, because I associate it with loving-care.
