5 Strategies to Cope with Fatigue Associated with Autoimmune Disease
Living with an autoimmune disease can be burdensome since it sometimes requires triple the effort when it comes to managing our health and well-being. These coping strategies are useful to help us navigate through a crisis but also serve as a guiding stone to prevent potential flares. Although we can’t control our body, we can help it function to the best of its ability by providing the right food, sleep, and rest, without forgetting to develop kindness and compassion toward ourselves.
The Best Diet for Optimal Health & Well-being
Although I’ve different approaches to diet, I have always thought that balance is key and that’s what we find in the whole-foods approach to diet. We don’t have to ban processed foods forever but we need to be more conscious of the frequency we consume them. Many of my snacks were based on cookies, biscuits, and breakfast cereals. These contain a lot of added sugar and they were responsible for aggravated mental health issues and physical problems. Replacing these foods with fruits and whole grains has been a huge game-changer.
